Together, we’re on a mission to bring people closer to Christ by providing quality Eastern Christian materials to Canadians. St. Macrina’s Book and Gift Store was created by the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton, to make it easier for Canadians to purchase items that will help them grow in their relationship with God.
As a part of the Edmonton Eparchy’s Evangelize 2021 Campaign, an effort has been made to make materials more accessible online to parishes and individuals throughout the eparchy. St. Macrina Store has launched online where people across Canada can order Eastern Christian-specific material in a safe and secure manner. The online store currently has:
-
A free giveaway section of used books is added every month.
-
Free viewable PDF copies of certain books.
-
Any profits made by the store directly support religious education.
-
A small thank-you gift for the first 25 supporters.
We thank everyone who has already supported the store and encourage you to write your feedback on what other products we should list and how we can further improve our new online store. You can do so by submitting feedback on the bottom of the store page.Â
Any profits that we may make through the store are redirected to Religious Education in the Eparchy of Edmonton which covers the entire province of Alberta. The Religious Education department directly impacts our community by:Â
- Managing a Resource Centre where individuals and parishes may borrow materials for free.Â
- Forming catechists through mentoring and coaching.
- Sponsoring professional development for catechists working in the Eparchy.
- Coordinating Eparchial wide events for people of all ages and stages, for example: Table for Two for couples, Called to be Holy; Men’s Conference and Retreat, Women’s Retreats, Family Faith sessions, our annual Lenten Presentation Series, and more!
St. Macrina Book and Gift is located in the Pastoral Centre (9645-108Ave, Edmonton). We have both an in-person location and an online store. We distribute products to individuals, parishes, and eparchies. This initiative is coordinated by the Religious Education Ministry of the Edmonton Eparchy.
