As we approach the launch of our new app, iPraise, we would like to take this opportunity to apologize for the delay in the beta testing phase. Originally, we planned to launch beta tests in January, but due to unforeseen circumstances, we have had to push back the beta launch to March. However, we are pleased to announce that the full app will be launched in April 2023.
The objective of the iPraises app is to help the Ukrainian Catholic faithful find peace in prayer. We understand the importance of prayer in our daily lives and we believe that this app will enable us to develop our spiritual growth.
The app includes several features that will help you customize your own personal preferences. One such feature is the Liturgical Year Calendar. With this calendar, you can add your parish feast day, your wedding anniversary, your baptism, your name day, and any other important faith event in your life. This allows you to stay connected with your faith and keep track of important dates.
Another feature of the app is iPraise Tips. These tips are designed to help people who are new to our faith and new to the app. They provide introductory explanations to each feature of the app, ensuring that everyone can develop their knowledge of their faith no matter what stage of their journey they are on.
The app also includes audio prayers and music, with both English and Ukrainian audio available. You can save audio under a favourite section and listen to brief faith-based lessons that will help you further your understanding of our Ukrainian Catholic faith.
For those who are preparing for confession, the app includes a short page to guide you through the process, ensuring that you are fully prepared when the time comes.
Lastly, the app includes e-books relevant to the Ukrainian Catholic faith. These books can be accessed easily from the app, providing you with spiritual guidance and knowledge wherever you are.
We are excited to launch this app and hope that it will help you to find peace in prayer. We apologize once again for the delay in beta testing but are confident that the app will be worth the wait. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to your feedback on the app.
For individuals who wish to contribute to the development and submit feedback, early access will be granted to download the app before the official launch date. To view survey results, sign up for early access, and learn more about the app project, visit the Eparchy of Edmonton’s webpage here.
