RESURRECTION: MUSIC FROM THE UKRAINIAN SACRED CHORAL TRADITION
 
 
Over 50 singers from Canada and Ukraine are embarking on a tour across Western Canada this spring to mark the CD release of a Resurrectional Divine Liturgy composed by Fr. John Sembrat OSBM that was recorded by the same ensemble last year.
 
Led by one of the leading choral directors in North America, Michael Zaugg of Pro Coro Canada will conduct a truly memorable program that will feature highlights from the composition of Fr. Sembrat, as well as music from renowned Ukrainian composers such as Bortniansky, Leontovych, and Vedel.
 
Each concert will be sung by members of:

-The Boyan Ensemble of Kyiv
-The Chorus of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
-The National Philharmonic of Ukraine
-The Homin Municipal Choir of Lviv
-The Vydubychi Church Choir of Kyiv
-The Ukrainian Bandurist Chorus of Detroit
-The Axios Men’s Ensemble of Edmonton
-The Hoosli Ukrainian Male Chorus of Winnipeg
-The Ukrainian Male Chorus of Edmonton
