This June, we invite you to join us on a remarkable spiritual journey during our Annual Pilgrimage to Sts. Peter and Paul Parish in Mundare, AB. Set in the heart of the beautiful Alberta countryside, this pilgrimage is a celebration of faith, hope, and unity.
In 2025, we are especially focused on being Pilgrims of Hope. Guided by Bishop David Motiuk, this pilgrimage offers a time for deep reflection, communal prayer, and a chance to connect with one another as we walk together in faith.

Saturday, June 21, 2025
5:00 pm – Vespers with Lytia at the Pioneer Chapel for the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul.
Sunday, June 22, 2025
8:00 am – Divine Liturgy & Confessions
8:30 am – Museum gift shop opens for religious articles
9:15 am – Blessing of the Water
10:00 am – Hierarchical Divine Liturgy with Bishop David Motiuk Following the Liturgy, prayers for the intentions of the Holy Father will be offered, along with the granting of a Plenary Indulgence.
Religious Articles Blessing: After the group photo at the Grotto, join us for the blessing of religious articles.
1:00 pm to 2:00 pm – Religious articles will be blessed in the Pioneer Chapel.
Lunch at Mundare Recreation Centre
After the Divine Liturgy, a delicious lunch will be served at the Mundare Recreation Centre. Tickets are $30 per plate and can be purchased via e-transfer to jjmayko@yahoo.ca or by cheque to John & Pat Mayko, Box 325, Mundare, AB, T0B 3H0.

How to Join the Vidpust Pilgrimage Walk (Saturday, June 21, 2025)
We invite youth and young adults to join us for the Pilgrimage-Walk as part of the annual Vidpust Pilgrimage to St. Peter and Paul’s Church in Mundare, Alberta. This special pilgrimage will take place on Saturday, June 21, and will offer a meaningful opportunity for prayer, reflection, and fellowship.
Details for the Pilgrimage Walk:
Gathering Point: Meet at St. Peter and Paul’s Church (5331 Sawchuk St, Mundare, AB) at 12:30 PM.
Shuttle to Marian Shrine: From the church, we will be shuttled to the Marian Shrine for a Molebyn (prayer service) led by Fr. Iryney Valyavka, OSBM.
Pilgrimage Walk: After the prayer service, we will walk back to the church in Mundare, covering approximately 10 km.
Vehicle Support: A vehicle will accompany the group during the walk to provide assistance if needed.
Confessions: Available during the walk for those who wish to participate.
What to Bring:
Ensure you have eaten lunch before the event.
Bring water, snacks, sunscreen, and appropriate clothing for the walk.
After the Walk:
Return to Mundare: We will arrive back in Mundare around 4:30 PM.
Light Snack: A light snack will be provided by the Basilian Fathers.
Vespers: Join us for Vespers at 5:00 PM at the Pioneer Church.
Dinner & Socializing: After Vespers, there will be a sandwich dinner and time to socialize. A tour of the museum will also be available.
Cost: There is no cost to participate in the pilgrimage walk.
