- Lead my soul forth from prison* that I may give thanks to Your name.Come, let us adore God the Word,* who was born of the Father before all ages,* and was incarnate of the Virgin Mary;* for of His own free will He suffered the Cross* and submitted Himself to burial,* and arose from the dead to save me, a sinful one.
The just shall gather around me* when You have been good to me.
Christ our Saviour cancelled the decree that was written against us,* by nailing it to the Cross;* and He abolished the dominion of Death.* Let us glorify His resurrection on the third day.
Out of the depths I cry to You, O Lord;* O Lord, hear my voice!
Let us, together with the archangels, sing of Christ’s resurrection;* for He is the Redeemer and Saviour of our souls.* He will come again in awesome glory and mighty power* to judge the world which He has fashioned.
Let Your ears be attentive* to the voice of my prayer.
Although You died and were buried,* the angel yet declared You as Master.* He said to the women: Come and see where the Lord was placed;* for He is risen as He foretold,* because He is almighty.* Therefore, we worship You, the only Immortal One,* and we beseech You to have mercy on us, O Giver of Life.
If You mark iniquities, Lord, who can stand?* But with You forgiveness is that You may be revered.
O Christ, You have abolished the curse of the tree by Your Cross;* You have destroyed the power of death by Your burial,* and You enlightened the human race by Your resurrection.* Therefore, we cry out to You:* O God and Benefactor, glory to You!
I have waited for You as You have commanded; my soul patiently relies on Your promise,* for it has trusted in the Lord.
O Lord, the gates of death opened before You in fear,* and the gatekeepers of Hades were filled with dread at the sight of You.* You smashed the gates of brass and crushed the posts of iron.* Then You burst our chains asunder,* and led us out from the darkness, away from the shadow of death.
From the morning watch until night* let Israel trust in the Lord.
Let us all come and prostrate ourselves in the house of the Lord,* singing this hymn of salvation:* O Christ, You were crucified on the tree and rose from the dead;* and You now abide in the bosom of the Father.* Please cleanse us of our sins.

For with the Lord there is mercy, and with Him there is plentiful redemption;* and He shall redeem Israel from all its iniquities.
As a divine prophet, herald and proclaimer of the words of God,* receiving the radiance of divine splendour in purity of mind,* you were revealed as the divinely inspired mouth of the Spirit!* You proclaim the things He revealed to you,* telling all the nations, most honoured one, * of the Kingdom of Christ and the salvation that is given to men.* Entreat Him to save and enlighten our souls!
Praise the Lord, all the nations;* proclaim His glory, all you people.
You fittingly shine forth in the vision of God,* divinely inspired one,* honoured with grace and a chief place among the prophets,* receiving the blessings of God!* Now that you have boldness towards the all good one and sympathy for us,* we honour you for having the eloquence of God,* being honourable and pleasing to him.* Never cease to pray on behalf of those who praise you in faith,* that He may deliver us from misfortunes and save our souls!

O Virgin, the shadow of the Law passed away* with the realization of grace.* For as the bush had burned without being consumed,* so you gave birth while a virgin* and you remained a virgin.* Instead of the pillar of fire there rose the Sun of Justice.* Instead of Moses, Christ God came forth,* the Saviour of our souls.

Let the nations and the peoples praise Christ our God,* who willingly endured the Cross for us and suffered three days in Hades;* let them worship His Resurrection from the dead,* through which all the ends of the world have been enlightened.
You were crucified, and Thou were buried, O Christ,* as You willed;* You have despoiled death as God and Master,* granting the world eternal life and Your great mercy.
In truth, O wicked ones,* by sealing the tomb you have granted us a greater wonder;* for the guards having complete knowledge of that which took place were compelled by you to say* “while we slept the Disciples came and stole him.”* And who would steal a corpse, especially one that is naked?* But He has arisen by His own authority as God,* leaving behind His grave-clothes in the tomb.* Come, O Jews,* see that He did not burst the seals,* the One who has trampled on death* and granted mankind life without end* and His great mercy.

How wise are Your judgments, O Christ!* You granted Peter the understanding of Your resurrection by the burial wrappings alone.* Even though You accompanied Luke and Cleopas and conversed with them,* yet You did not reveal Yourself.* You were taunted by them as though You alone were a stranger in Jerusalem,* not knowing what had recently happened there.* But since You ordained all things for the good of each,* You explained to them what the prophets had spoken concerning You.* In the breaking of the bread they recognized You* because their hearts were already burning with the desire to know You.* When they came together with the disciples,* they proclaimed openly Your divine resurrection* by which we ask that You have mercy upon us.

Epistle: Ephesians 6:10-17 (NRSV)
Brothers and Sisters, finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. At that time, Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the sabbath. And just then there appeared a woman with a spirit that had crippled her for eighteen years. She was bent over and was quite unable to stand up straight. When Jesus saw her, he called her over and said, “Woman, you are set free from your ailment.” When he laid his hands on her, immediately she stood up straight and began praising God. But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had cured on the sabbath, kept saying to the crowd, “There are six days on which work ought to be done; come on those days and be cured, and not on the sabbath day.” But the Lord answered him and said, “You hypocrites! Does not each of you on the sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the manger, and lead it away to give it water? And ought not this woman, a daughter of Abraham whom Satan bound for eighteen long years, be set free from this bondage on the sabbath day?” When he said this, all his opponents were put to shame; and the entire crowd was rejoicing at all the wonderful things that he was doing.

З архангелами прославмо воскресіння Христове,* бо він – наш визволитель і спаситель душ наших,* що з славою дивною і могутньою силою* знову прийде судити світ,* що його він створив.

Ангел сповістив про тебе,* розп’ятого й похороненого Владику,* і сказав жінкам: Прийдіть і погляньте, де лежав Господь;* він бо, Всесильний, воскрес, як і прорік був.* Тому поклоняємось тобі, єдиному безсмертному:* Життєдавче, Христе, помилуй нас.
- Стих: Коли ти, Господи, зважатимеш на беззаконня,* то хто встоїться, Господи. Та в тебе є прощення.
Твоїм хрестом ти знищив прокляття райського дерева,* похороном твоїм ти здолав владу смерти,* а воскресінням твоїм ти просвітив людський рід.* Тому й кличемо до тебе:* Христе Боже наш, добротворче, – слава тобі!
- Стих: Задля імени твого надіюсь на тебе, Господи,* надіється душа моя на слово твоє; надіється душа моя на Господа.
Господи, зі страху перед тобою відкрилися брами смерти,* а дверники адові, побачивши тебе, настрахалися,* бо ти зломив мідні ворота і знищив залізні затвори,* та й вивів нас із темряви й смертної тіні,* і розірвав наші окови.
- Стих: Від ранньої сторожі до ночі* від ранньої сторожі нехай уповає Ізраїль на Господа.
Співаючи визвольну пісню, промовмо устами:* Прийдімо всі до Господнього храму й припадімо, кажучи:* Ти, що був розп’ятий на дереві* і воскрес із мертвих, та існуєш в Отцевому лоні,* – очисти гріхи наші.
- Стих: Бо в Господа милість і відкуплення велике в нього;* він визволить Ізраїля від усього беззаконня його.

Осяяний достойним боговидінням* та відзначений пророчою мовою* і благодаттю, богонатхненний Софоніє!* Ти вдостоївся божественного блаженства* та здобув нині оце довір’я* і ласку в Преблагого,* щоб молитися за тих, які тебе з вірою почитають* і вихваляють як чесного і Богом посланого благовісника,* щоб визволити з бід* і спасти душі наші.

Слава і нині: О, нове чудо, над усі старовинні чуда!* Хто ж бо знав коли матір, що родила без мужа* і носила на руках того, хто держить усі створіння?* Бо народжене – це Боже уподобання,* що його ти, Пречиста, як дитину носила твоїми руками* і мала до нього матерню сміливість.* Тому не переставай молитись до нього за тих, що тебе почитають,* щоб змилувався і спас душі наші.

Тропар (глас 2): Коли зійшов Ти до смерти, Життя безсмертне,* тоді ад умертвив ти блистінням Божества.* Коли ж і умерлих із глибин підземних воскресив Ти,* всі сили небесні взивали:* Життедавче, Христе Боже наш, слава Тобі.

Кондак (глас 2): Воскрес єси з гробу, всесильний Спасе,* і ад, увидівши чудо, зжахнувся та й мертві встали;* а творіння, бачивши, радіє з Тобою, й Адам веселиться,* і світ, Спасе мій, повсякчас Тебе оспівує.
І нині, і повсякчас, і на віки вічні. Амінь.
Богородичний (глас 2): У молитвах невсипущу Богородицю,* і в заступництві несхитне уповання не втримали в собі гріб і смерть;* бо як Матір Життя покликав до життя Той,* Хто в лоно вселився повсякчас дівственне.
Прокімен (глас 2):
Господь – моя сила і моя пісня,* і Він став моїм спасінням (Пс 117,14).
Стих: Тяжко покарав мене Господь, та не поередав мене смерті (Пс 117,18).
Апостол: (Еф 6, 10-17):
Браття і Сестри, кріпіться в Господі та в могутності Його сили. Одягніться в повну зброю Божу, щоб ви могли дати відсіч хитрощам диявольським. Нам бо треба боротися не проти тіла і крови, але проти начал, проти влади, проти правителів цього світу темряви, проти духів злоби в піднебесних просторах. Тому візьміть повну зброю Божу, щоб за лихої години ви могли дати опір і, перемагаючи все, міцно встоятися. Стійте, отже, підперезавши бедра ваші правдою, вдягнувшись у броню справедливості, і взувши ноги в готовість проповідування Євангелія миру. А над усе візьміть щит віри, яким зможете згасити всі розпалені стріли лукавого. Візьміть також шолом спасіння, тобто слово Боже.

Стих: Вислухає тебе Господь у день печалі, захистить тебе ім’я Бога Якова (Пс 19,2).
Стих: Господи, спаси царя і вислухай нас, коли будемо взивати до Тебе (Пс 19,10).
Євангеліє: (Лк 13,10-17):
В той час навчав Ісус в одній з синагог у суботу. І ось була жінка, що мала духа недуги вісімнадцять літ, була скорчена, і не могла ніяк випростуватися. Побачивши її Ісус, покликав і сказав: Жінко, ти звільнена від недуги твоєї. І поклав на неї руки; і зараз випростувалася і славила Бога. Озвався ж старшина збору, нагадуючи, що в суботу зцілив її Ісус, і сказав до народу: Є шість днів, в які годиться працювати, у ці, отже, приходьте зцілятися, а не в день суботній. Відповів же йому Господь і мовив: Лицеміре, чи ж не відв’язує кожен з вас в суботу свого вола чи осла від ясел і не веде напувати? А цю дочку Авраамову, що її зв’язав сатана ось уже вісімнадцяте літо, чи не годилося, щоб визволилася вона від узів цих у день суботній? І як Він це говорив, стидалися усі противники Його, а всі люди радувалися всім славним, що діялося через Нього.
Причасний:
