How the Holy Spirit Changes Everything – Friday Night Keynote
Following Jesus can be difficult. You could rightly ask yourself How can I be expected to live a life of faith, to do the right thing in hard moments when Jesus’ closest followers couldn’t do it after three years of seeing Him face to face? The answer is found at Pentecost, when the outpouring of the Holy Spirit changed everything. In this presentation, Mike will look at some of the ways our relationship with the Holy Spirit can impact and edify our spiritual lives.
Loving Like the Ephesians 5:25 Man (a 3-part mission) – Saturday Breakout Session
St. Paul writes that we should “love our wives as Christ loved the Church, giving himself up for her.” Whether you’re married or single, God has placed a calling in your lives to live and love as Christ loved. In this session, Mike will look at the three parts of the mission God has entrusted to us as men: strength to serve and to sacrifice, the ability to initiate love, and the ability to initiate life.
Dr. Francis Fast
The Spirit’s Peace and the World’s Peace – Saturday Session
The political world offers us various paths towards peace both at home and abroad; we are promised the peace of the Holy Spirit, but it isn’t always easy to see how the peace of God can affect the peace of the world. In this talk, Dr. Fast will suggest how we can bring these two together and see, in light of Catholic Social Teaching, how the peace of God offers us tangible hope for peace in the world—but how that peace may not, in the words of our Lord, be peace as the world would give it.

Biblical Reflections on the Spirit of Peace – Saturday Session
If, as St. Seraphim of Sarov says: “Acquire the Spirit of Peace and a thousand souls around you will be saved,” then it is critical that living a Christian life must focus on this Spirit of Peace. Fr. Andrew will lead us through a Scriptural look at what has been revealed about the Holy Spirit and in particular will explore the fruits of the Holy Spirit – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Gal 5:22-23).

Contemplating the Spirit: The Jesus Prayer and Christian Meditation – Saturday Session
The practice of contemplative prayer has always played an important role in the Christian East. It is a practice that has the potential of bringing us into “the peace of God”. We will explore this way of praying and in particular will focus on the Jesus Prayer.
