We are so excited to welcome you to our Ukrainian Catholic Camps this summer! Whether it is your first time coming to camp or you are an expert camper, we promise that you will have an absolute blast!!

Here are some of the things to remember to pack before you come to camp:
  • Sleeping bag or blankets & a pillow (single sized mattresses)
  • Water bottle with your name on it
  • Soap & shampoo
  • Two towels & a facecloth
  • Toothbrush & toothpaste
  • Enough clothes for at least seven days & all sorts of weather
  • One set of fancy clothes for the “dance” (optional)
  • A swimsuit (modest please)
  • Sweater & raincoat
  • Running shoes & sandals, water shoes if you wish
  • Hat & sunglasses
  • Sunscreen & insect repellent
  • Flashlight
  • All medications that the Camp Nurse will keep all week
    Do not bring:
    • clothing with negative messaging on it
    • knives or any weapons
    • lighters or matches
    • candy, food or drinks (don’t worry we will feed you.)
    • phones, computers & electronic games (if you bring them, they will be kept in the nurse’s office.)
    • Make sure you don’t bring anything that would make you sad if you lost it, sometimes that happens. 🙁
    Parents: If you NEED to talk to your child, send us a message at 780-340-3726 and we will have the child call you from the land line.
    Once you arrive at camp, you and your parents will check in with our Camp Directors and give any medication you need to the Camp Nurse to stay safe. Then, you will go and find a bunk in the dorms to set up your bed. Once you get settled in, your parents will head home, and you will begin the most exciting week of your summer!

    A typical day at camp looks something like this:
    8:00 am – Staff meeting
    8:30 am – Campers wake up
    9:00 am – morning assembly, exercises, anthem…
    9:30 am – Breakfast
    10:00 am – Morning Prayers
    10:30 am – Catechism & Activities
    12:00 pm – Lunch
    1:00 pm – Sports, swimming, archery, crafts & other stuff  (usually in smaller groups)
    6:00 pm – Supper
    7:00 pm – Evening “all together” activities & campfire 
    9:00 pm – Snack & evening prayer 
    9:45 pm – Bedtime
    10:00 pm – silence / lights out
    • Each day will be different, and the schedule is also weather influenced.

    As well, every day of the week we have different themes. Some of the themes that we include are:

    • Twin Day
    • Superhero Day
    • Blue & Yellow Day
    • Canada Day
    • Crazy Hair Day
    • Christmas in July
    • Formal Day

     

    The evening activities that we often participate in are:

    • Flag Football
    • Moving Pictionary
    • Counselor Hide and Seek
    • Soccer
    • Campfire Sing-Along
    We are extremely excited for you to come and join us this summer, as we learn about our role in life as God’s children, while making new friends and having lots of fun in the sun!
