His Beatitude Sviatoslav, Father and Head of the UGCC, personally and on behalf of the Synod of Bishops of the UGCC, congratulated Bishop David, Eparch of Edmonton, Apostolic Administrator of the New Westminster Diocese and Chairman of the Patriarchal Catechetical Commission, on his 60th birthday.

In his congratulatory letter, the head of the UGCC thanked the Lord for the gift of life, the saintly ministry of Bishop David for God and the Church, and assured him in prayer.

“Your priestly and later hierarchical ministry is extremely fruitful, because it includes both great pastoral care for the people of God and painstaking scientific work, which culminated in a doctorate in canon law,” the greeting said.

“For the thousands of faithful of our Church living in Canada, you have become a caring father, a zealous preacher of Christ’s truth, a defender of their rights and freedoms, a custodian of our culture and identity. We also appreciate your fruitful activity as the head of the Patriarchal Catechetical Commission, “added the Father and the Head of the Church.

His Beatitude Sviatoslav wished the jubilee God’s abundant blessings, the help of the Holy Spirit in all endeavors for the glory of God and for the good of our Church and native people.
