Over 1500 resources can be found at the Catechetical Resource Centre located at the Ukrainian Catholic Pastoral Centre. We have books, study programs, DVDs, and audio resources, as well as a children’s library. Just a few of the many topics included are Prayer, Family and Domestic Church, Guided Meditation, Mental Wellness, and Church Teaching. Our resources can be used by clergy, catechists, or youth ministers for leading workshops, religious education teachers, parents who wish to teach their children about their faith at an early age, and anyone who wants to further their knowledge in their faith.
Resources can be picked up from the Pastoral Centre (9645 – 108 Avenue NW) from Monday to Friday 8:30am – 12:00pm and 1:00pm – 4:30pm.
In order to take out books, you must register an account with the Resource Centre. To do so, create an account on our Faith-Based Resources page. You will be asked to provide your first and last name, email, and phone number. Within two business days, your account will be activated and you will receive a confirmation email. However, if after three days you have not received a confirmation email, please contact the Pastoral Centre. Once you receive the account confirmation, visit https://eparchyresource.libib.com/ to request a password. An auto-generated password will be sent from Libib. Depending on your email server, this message might be redirected to your “Junk Mail” folder. With this account, you will be able to place resources on hold ahead of your trip to the Pastoral Centre, as well as receive reminder emails prior to the return due date. The items you wish to take out will be ready for picking up at the Pastoral Centre 2-3 business days after putting them on hold. If you require them sooner, please call the Pastoral Centre at 780-424-5496 to make arrangements. The loan period for the Resource Centre is two weeks. However, if resources are required for a longer period of time, arrangements can be made.
Here at the Catechetical Resource Centre, our mission is to provide the faithful of the Eparchy of Edmonton with books and other resources that will help to strengthen their relationship with God.
