Grande Prairie Dormition Parish is pleased to announce that on April 23 & 24 we will be celebrating the grande opening of our new church, with Bishop David and guests. Bishop will consecrate the altar and bless the building at the Saturday evening Great Vespers service and Sunday morning Divine Liturgy. This is a special event for our parish and the entire Eparchy. We wish to share this great joy, so we extend a warm invitation to all.

Bus transportation and accommodations will be provided for those who require it. The price for a round trip from Edmonton to Grande Prairie via bus is $60—this price is based on 50 travellers. Hotel rooms at Service Plus will be no more than $100 a night—this price decreases as more rooms are booked. There will be a banquet following the Sunday Divine Liturgy after which the Edmonton group will depart. Please join us as we celebrate this momentous occasion.
