St. John the Baptist Parish – Northern Valley

St. John the Baptist Parish in Northern Valley is a rural Ukrainian Catholic parish with land purchased for church and cemetery use in 1910. The first recorded service was held by Fr. Naucratius Kryzanowsky, OSBM, in the homestead of M. Stetsko on February 11, 1911.

The wooden church was built in 1934, and later pastoral care included many years of service by Fr. John Cherkawsky. From 1985, the church was looked after by the priest from Vermilion.
