About St. George Parish – Edmonton

St. George the Victorious Ukrainian Catholic Parish in Edmonton is a spiritual home for Ukrainian Catholics and a living centre of prayer, faith formation, and the preservation of Ukrainian traditions. Historically associated with Ukrainian-speaking faithful and postwar immigrant community life, the parish continues to serve believers of all generations through regular Byzantine Rite services, catechesis for children and youth, and the celebration of holidays and cultural events that keep Ukrainian customs alive.

Known for its gold-domed brick church, Ukrainian-language worship, and beautiful Kyivan-Byzantine iconography, the parish remains a strong and visible Ukrainian Catholic presence near 95A Street. As part of the Eparchy of Edmonton of the UGCC and the Metropolis of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canada, St. George also plays an important role in the wider mission of the Church, while supporting charitable and social outreach, including assistance to newcomers from Ukraine.
