St. Anthony of Kyiv Parish – New Pine Creek

St. Anthony of Kyiv Parish in New Pine Creek is a rural Ukrainian Catholic church in the Meanook and Athabasca area. The first Divine Liturgy was celebrated in 1932 in Mykhaylo Nimko's home, and a two-acre parcel for the church was donated in 1933.

The church was built in 1945. Parish history records founding families, difficult road conditions that sometimes cancelled services, a rural community that became smaller as younger generations moved away, and continued grave services at the church cemetery.
