Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish – Delph

About Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish – Delph
Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Delph was founded by Ukrainian settlers who began arriving in the area in 1900. The parish was formally incorporated in 1911, and its church was rebuilt in 1917 after the original building was demolished. Over the years, the church and the Narodnyi Dim became the center of parish and community life, while the parish also maintained a cemetery near the church and a strong tradition of worship, service, and faith.
The parish was served by the Basilian Fathers for many years, later by eparchial clergy, and then again by the Basilian Fathers from 1980 onward. Monthly services continue to be celebrated, and the parish is remembered for its beautiful interior painting, its historical welcome to bishops, and the vocations it gave to the Church, including Fr. Sebastian Kurylo, OSBM, and Sr. Esther Marie Kurylo, SSMI.
