About St. Dymytro Parish – Hilliard

St. Demetro Parish at Hilliard was a rural Ukrainian Catholic community shaped by early farm families, donated land, and Basilian pastoral care. The parish was also known locally through the Seniuk family, whose name was tied to the area and early church life.

The parish history traces its first meeting to 1902, a first chapel to 1903, incorporation to 1922, and a church built in 1926. The original church building was destroyed by fire on July 29, 2007, making the preserved record of the community especially important.
