About Exaltation of the Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Church

Exaltation of the Holy Cross Parish in Skaro is a Ukrainian Catholic parish rooted in the area's 1898 Ukrainian settlement. The parish story reflects a community that worked through early property challenges with persistence and a clear commitment to its Catholic identity.

The first church was built in 1911, followed by a brick church constructed between 1945 and 1950 and consecrated by Bishop Neil Savaryn on August 11, 1963. The parish history also records service by Basilian and eparchial clergy and vocations to the Basilian Order and the Sisters Servants of Mary Immaculate.
