Exaltation of the Holy Cross Parish – Hay Lakes

Exaltation of the Holy Cross Parish near Hay Lakes is a rural Ukrainian Catholic parish rooted in early twentieth-century Ukrainian settlement. Its church land was donated in 1921, the church was built by parish volunteers in 1929, and the building was expanded in 1957 as the community grew.

The parish story includes faithful families who gave time and resources to complete the church, decades of Basilian and Eparchial pastoral service, and recorded visits from several bishops. It remains an important marker of Ukrainian Catholic heritage in the Hay Lakes area.
