Descent of the Holy Spirit Parish – Derwent (Town)

Descent of the Holy Spirit Parish in Derwent is a Ukrainian Catholic parish on the edge of town, with land and cemetery property acquired in the early 1940s and the church built in 1948. The parish also purchased a residence in 1941.

Its history includes active BUCC, UCWLC, and UCYC branches and a small but continuing parish family noted in the early 2000s. The first parish priest was Fr. Markian Pasichnyk, OSBM.
