iPraises — Ukrainian Catholic Prayer App
Your daily companion for prayer and the Byzantine liturgical year
iPraises is a free Ukrainian Catholic prayer app created by the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton. It helps people stay connected to prayer and the rhythm of the Byzantine liturgical year at home, at church, at work, or on the go.
The app brings together the Eparchial liturgical calendar, liturgical propers for the Divine Liturgy, Matins, Vespers, and the Hours, as well as daily prayers, in one accessible place. iPraises is available in both English and Ukrainian for users in Canada, Ukraine, and anywhere the faithful want to pray with the Church.

Eparchial Initiative
Created to Serve the Faithful
iPraises was created as a practical way to support the spiritual life of the Church in everyday life.
With the blessing and vision of Bishop David, and through the work of the Eparchy’s developers and team, the app brings prayer and liturgical resources closer to individuals, families, clergy, young people, and parishioners across Canada and beyond.
iPraises is more than a digital tool. It is part of the Eparchy’s mission to make the beauty of the Byzantine Catholic tradition accessible in a clear, prayerful, and useful way.
Why iPraises Matters
Prayer that stays close at hand
Prayer does not begin and end at church. It continues throughout the day, in our homes, at work, while travelling, and in the ordinary moments of life.
iPraises keeps the liturgical calendar, propers, daily texts, and prayers close at hand whenever they are needed.
For people already rooted in the life of the Church, the app offers a convenient way to remain in step with the liturgical year. For those who are learning, returning, or looking for a place to begin, it offers a welcoming path into the prayers and worship of the Ukrainian Catholic and Byzantine tradition.

Bilingual Experience
Pray in English, Ukrainian, or both
iPraises is designed for the bilingual life of the Ukrainian Catholic Church in Canada and for Ukrainian-speaking users around the world.
Users can choose English or Ukrainian and move between both languages as needed. This makes the app useful for families, parishes, young people, newcomers, clergy, and anyone who wants to pray with the Church in the language that feels most natural.
The bilingual experience also helps connect generations: one person may pray in Ukrainian, another in English, while both remain connected to the same liturgical life.
Why the English and Ukrainian texts may differ. The English and Ukrainian versions may not always match word-for-word. The texts are prepared from different official liturgical sources and calendars used in Canada and Ukraine, so commemorations, translations, and wording can sometimes differ. The team continues to review and improve the texts. If you notice a possible issue, please contact iPraises support.
