Divine Liturgy at Historic Dunvegan: Prayer for Peace in Ukraine

Please join us for Divine Liturgy at the historic St. Charles Chapel in Dunvegan Provincial Park on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.

On this day, the regularly scheduled 10:00 a.m. Divine Liturgy at Dormition Greek Catholic Church in Grande Prairie will be transferred to Dunvegan. We will gather in prayer at the historic chapel to ask Almighty God’s blessing upon our families and to pray especially for peace in Ukraine.

The historic St. Charles Church is part of Historic Dunvegan, a provincial historic site within Dunvegan Provincial Park on the Peace River.

Fellowship and potluck

A community potluck lunch will follow the Divine Liturgy at “The Maples,” the nearby picnic area where our community has gathered in previous years.

Please bring:

• Your own lawn chair.
• A favourite dish to share at the potluck.
• Family and friends who would like to pray and share fellowship with our community.
