17th Annual Bishop’s Gala: Celebrating Women in the Church Today
The Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton warmly invites you to join Bishop David Motiuk for the 17th Annual Bishop’s Gala on Thursday, December 3, 2026, at the Chateau Louis Conference Centre in Edmonton.
Each year, the Bishop’s Gala brings together clergy, parishioners, friends, families, and supporters of the Eparchy for an evening of fellowship, celebration, and support for the mission of the Church.
This year’s Gala will be dedicated to “Celebrating Women in the Church Today: Serving with Faith and Love.”
Throughout the life of the Church, women continue to offer their gifts, leadership, service, prayer, and witness in countless ways. The 2026 Bishop’s Gala provides a special opportunity to recognize and celebrate that contribution and to reflect on the important role women have in the Church today.
2026 Honorary Chair
We are pleased to welcome Dr. Linda Dudar, PhD, Program Director of the Catholic Women’s Leadership Foundation for Canada, as the Honorary Chair of the 17th Annual Bishop’s Gala.
Her involvement beautifully reflects this year’s focus on women serving the Church with faith, love, leadership, and dedication.
An Evening of Faith, Community and Celebration
The Bishop’s Gala is more than an annual dinner. It is an opportunity for our Eparchial community to come together, reconnect with one another, celebrate the life of our Church, and support its continuing mission.
As in previous years, the Gala also provides an important opportunity to support the work of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Edmonton. Previous Gala fundraising has helped the Eparchy continue ministries and programs that strengthen the faithful, nurture hope and charity, and further the mission of the Church.
This year, we invite you to join us as we especially honour the women who serve with faith and love and whose gifts continue to enrich the Church and its communities.
