After “Blessed be the Kingdom…”: Heavenly King, Advocate, Spirit of Truth, Who are everywhere present and fill all things, Treasury of Blessings, Bestower of Life, come and dwell within us, cleanse us of all that defiles us, and, O Good One, save our souls.

Third Antiphon

Verse 1 (Soloist): O Lord, by Your power the king shall rejoice and greatly exult in Your salvation (Ps 20:2).

Troparion (Tone 8): Blessed are You, O Christ our God, who revealed the fishermen as most wise by sending them the Holy Spirit; through them You caught the entire world. Loving Master, glory to You.

Verse 2 (Soloist): You gave him his heart’s desire and did not deny the request on his lips (Ps 20:3).

Troparion (Tone 8): Blessed are You, O Christ our God…

Verse 3 (Soloist): For You have gone before him with gracious blessings, you have placed upon his head a crown of precious stones (Ps 20:4).

Troparion (Tone 8): Blessed are You, O Christ our God…

Entrance Verse (Soloist): Be exalted, O Lord, in Your strength; we will sing and make music to Your might (Ps 20:14).

Troparion (Tone 8): Blessed are You, O Christ our God…

+Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. Now and for ever and ever. Amen.

Kontakion (Tone 8): When the Most High came down and confused the tongues,* He parted the nations.* When He divided the tongues of fire,* He called all to unity;* thus with one voice* we glorify the all-Holy Spirit.

Prokimenon (Tone 8): Save Your people, O Lord, and bless Your inheritance (Ps 27:9).

verse: Unto You I will cry, O Lord my God, lest You turn from me in silence (Ps 27:1).

Epistle: (Eph 5:9-19): Brethren, live as children of light— for the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and true. Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them. For it is shameful even to mention what such people do secretly; but everything exposed by the light becomes visible, for everything that becomes visible is light. Therefore it says,
‘Sleeper, awake! Rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.’ Be careful then how you live, not as unwise people but as wise, making the most of the time, because the days are evil. So do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. Do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery; but be filled with the Spirit, as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, singing and making melody to the Lord in your hearts.

Alleluia (Tone 2): Alleluia, alleluia, alleluia!
verse: Have mercy on me, O God, in the greatness of Your compassion (Ps 50:3).
verse: Cast me not from Your presence, nor deprive me of Your Holy Spirit (Ps 50:13).

Gospel: (Mat 18:10-20): The Lord said:  ‘Take care that you do not despise one of these little ones; for, I tell you, in heaven their angels continually see the face of my Father in heaven. What do you think? If a shepherd has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. So it is not the will of your Father in heaven that one of these little ones should be lost. ‘If another member of the church sins against you, go and point out the fault when the two of you are alone. If the member listens to you, you have regained that one. But if you are not listened to, take one or two others along with you, so that every word may be confirmed by the evidence of two or three witnesses. If the member refuses to listen to them, tell it to the church; and if the offender refuses to listen even to the church, let such a one be to you as a Gentile and a tax-collector. Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. Again, truly I tell you, if two of you agree on earth about anything you ask, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them.’

Instead of “It is truly…”: O my soul, magnify the one Divinity in three Persons.

Irmos (Tone 4): Rejoice, O Queen, boast of virgins and mothers, for every tongue, though capable and eloquent, cannot hymn you as is your due, and every mind is confounded in seeking to comprehend the way in which you gave birth. Wherefore with one accord we glorify you.

Communion Verse: Your good Spirit will lead me to the land of righteousness (Ps 142:10). Alleluia! (3x)
