BALLATER – PROTECTION of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish – Парафія Покрови Матері Божої
Location: 35 km. south-east from the town of Faller. Built in 1941 by I. Vynnytskyi and his sons Peter, John and Michael. Originally 5 members. The community had chances to survive with their 8 families. Fr. Matthew Sianchuk organized the people and even supported them financially. There is also a cemetery. Basilian priests who served the community: Fr. Paul Olinsky 1932-1935; Fr. Theodozy Dobko 1935-1938 ; from 1938 Fr. Matthew Sianchuk, Fr. Ireneus Procenty and Fr. Ambrose Wynnyk. Eparchial clergy who served the parish: Fr. Volodymyr Slaby (1951-1952) and Fr. Euthymius Melnychuk (1956). Mission was closed around 1980.
