Celebrating a Builder and Enabler

“I walk in the steps of Jesus.”

On April 30, 2016, amongst friends, relatives, former parishioners and fellow clergy, Rev. Paul Lysak celebrated his 90th birthday, 74 spent in religious life and 63 in the Priesthood. Since his ordination, Father Paul has served parishes throughout Alberta and British Columbia, encouraging, renovating, building, leaving none the same as he found them.  On April 23, 2016, he celebrated his 23,000th Divine Liturgy.

“I have felt the power and love of Jesus.”  With those words, Father Paul explains the source of the energy, enthusiasm and survival through some very difficult times in a long and well-spent life.

God bless this Priest of the People as the Very Rev. Stephen Wojcichowsky , Vicar General and Eparchial Chancellor referred to Father Paul, and give him many more healthy, happy years.
